FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
SOUTH SHORE, MA — North River Home Care (NRHC), a family-owned home care agency serving Massachusetts’ South Shore and MetroWest, is pleased to announce the addition of Angela Merullo, LPN, as its newest Care Advisor serving our South Shore region.
Angela brings a strong clinical background and years of nursing experience to the role, spanning hospital, family medicine, and urgent care settings. Throughout her career, she has been known for her thoughtful clinical judgment, her attention to detail, and her genuine dedication to the patients and families in her care. Her ability to bring clinical insight to every interaction, while making people feel heard and supported, has been a consistent thread across her work.
Most recently, Angela served as Nurse Manager at Nova Medical Group, where she oversaw daily clinical workflow across primary care and urgent care, supervised clinical support staff, and led hiring, onboarding, and training. Before that, she worked in family medicine at Compass Medical, supporting patients through intake, medication reconciliation, and telephone triage. Both roles gave her a deep, firsthand understanding of the busy South Shore healthcare landscape and the families who rely on it.
Angela also brings valuable experience in infectious disease and infection control. She began her nursing career in the Division of Infectious Diseases at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and she recently completed Nursing Home Infection Preventionist training. That background gives her a sharp eye for safety, prevention, and the everyday practices that help keep clients healthy and protected at home.
“We’re delighted to welcome Angela to our team,” said Heather Kenney, Founder of North River Home Care. “Her clinical experience is impressive, but what really stood out to us is her warmth and the care she brings to every person she works with. Angela understands that home care is about more than meeting a need on paper. It’s about seeing the whole person and helping families feel confident and supported.”
As a Care Advisor, Angela will work closely with clients and their loved ones to assess needs, coordinate services, and ensure each person receives thoughtful, personalized care that helps them remain safe and independent at home. Her clinical background allows her to anticipate challenges, advocate for clients, and guide families through what can often feel like an overwhelming process with clarity and reassurance.
Angela’s addition reflects North River Home Care’s ongoing commitment to building a team of skilled, compassionate professionals dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for older adults and their families. As the agency continues to grow, welcoming experienced professionals like Angela ensures that the families it serves receive the highest standard of care.
