24-hour home care, so someone is always there
Round-the-clock and live-in support across the South Shore and MetroWest — so your parent is never alone at 3am, and you can sleep again.
Family owned since 2007. Care often starts within 24–48 hours of your call.
- Overnight caregivers stay awake, every single shift
- If a caregiver is unwell, we arrange the cover — not you
- We regularly begin care within 48 hours of a hospital discharge
Talk to our care team
Tell us what’s happened. A care manager calls you back — usually the same day.

Does any of this sound familiar?
Most calls about 24-hour care come after something has already gone wrong.
- They’ve had a fall, and you’re frightened it will happen again when nobody’s there.
- The hospital is discharging them in a few days and you don’t have a plan yet.
- Nights are the worst part — wandering, confusion, or not getting to the bathroom safely.
- You’ve been sleeping at their house, and you can’t keep doing it.
- The alternative on the table is a nursing home, and nobody in the family wants that.
One phone call, and we’ll tell you honestly what we think is needed — even if the answer is that you can wait.
24-hour care and live-in care are not the same thing
This is the question we’re asked most, and getting it wrong costs families money or safety. Here’s the honest difference.
24-hour care
Caregivers work in shifts — usually three or four across the day — and the overnight caregiver stays awake and alert. Nobody sleeps over, and no spare bedroom is needed.
- Best if they’re a fall risk at night
- Best if they wander or sundown
- Best if they’re a restless sleeper
Live-in care
One or two caregivers live in the home and share the week. They sleep at night and take legally required breaks, so there are periods when your parent is unattended.
- Needs a private bedroom in the home
- Best if they sleep through most nights
- Best if they aren’t prone to wandering
We’ll tell you honestly which one fits. Sometimes the answer is that you don’t need 24-hour care yet — and we’ll say that too.

Dad came home from hospital on a Thursday and North River had someone with him by Saturday morning. Knowing there’s a person awake in the house at 3am is the difference between me functioning at work and not.
